    Hi,

I would like to password protect my Blog page (defined as Post Page), but it does not work. However, when I define my Blog page as a regular page, it is password protected.

Is it possible to protect the Post Page with a password?

    Cheers,
    Julian

    Hi @julian85,

The built-in password protection only hides the content of posts and pages (and the featured image, if the theme has conditionals for it), so it doesn’t work for the blog post archive.

I’d assume that there’s a plugin for hiding the entire blog (as well as single posts, category archives, tag archives, author archives, etc.) behind password protection, but I don’t know of any offhand.

    Hey Anders!

Thank you very much for the quick response!

Indeed, with the plugins My Private Site and Theme My Login, I was able to build a user-based private website with a login page in the style of the theme.

    Cheers,
    Julian
