Password not working (I overwrote something I think)

I have a lovely new website up (www.cocreative.co.uk) but I can no longer make any updates, as WordPress isn’t recogising my userid/password (this is a temp one to get me access to support).

I tried to be clever and started off creating the new website stuff in a sub directory (new), then copyied all the files to the main web directory. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and appeared to work fine. But now I can’t login!

I could login in ok yesterday (after I did this on tuesday), but not today. The reset password also doesn’t work. I clicked the lost password, was asked to enter my username, but not my email. I waited for a new password to be emailed to me. I’m still waiting.

I tried this at least 10 times.

I’ve looked at some of the techie methods of resolving this, but I’m not technical enough to risk it!
