• After a OS replacement that went wrong, I am trying to rebuild my links to various programs. I use WordPress for my website: http://www.terrifivash.com
The website was begun and maintained for me by a third party, thus I NEVER HAD ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT, and consequently have no idea what the administrative password is. At some point, the third party shifted my site from WordPress.com to WordPress.org I do not know when this happened, and it occurred without the third party giving me any administrative information. Thus, the ONLY access I have to the site is through the regular WordPress.org logon page. When I attempted to logon under the new Operating System, the logon page refused to accept the password, which I know is the correct one. Cookies are enabled. I am definitely part of WordPress.ORG I have tried to go through the lost password system, but I never receive an email allowing me to change the password. Since I do not know, and never did know, the administrative password, recovery via SQL database, FTP, or other channels is not an option. There has to be some site administrator somewhere who can reconnect me with the website, and give me ownership of it. Please advise.

Thanks for the tip to go to Hostgator. As you can see from their reply, I connected with them. We were able to resolve the multiple password issues, but now, since updating WordPress from 3.2.1 to 5. something, my website will not display. The techs at Hostgator cannot install a different theme since the program won’t accept it. Where do I go for help with this?

As this is a different problem please start a new subject.
