I just opened my weblog with WordPress and I tried to register myself with as another user and the confirmation e-mail with the random pass never gets there, that is; it’s never send; so one can sign up except for me or unless I create the new account at the users’ panel.

When you created the blog did you get an email with the user/pass at that time? If not, it’s the way your host has setup email and unless they change there is not a lot can be done.

I have the “admin” username, and the WordPress gave me my password in the instant, when I logged in for the first time I changed it for a friendlier one.

I run my on server (win 2k3) and haven’t had much problems with it so far.. 😎

What I want to know is that is there any option I must set to make the mail work (like setting smtp.example.com)

Is there anyway to shut this fuction off and let the users set their own passwords?
