Password is required at Checkout even though guest checkout is enabled
-
Hi,
Our checkout page allows for guest checkout as well as customers to create an account. However, the “Create account password” field is set as “required”, so if a customer tries to checkout as a guest they cannot. We have both Guest checkout account settings ticked as well as the first 3 under account creation in the Accounts and Privacy settings for the plugin. The only setting we dont have ticked is “When creating an account, automatically generate an account password”.
I can add in a custom hook to make the password field not required, however when I do this the plugin is still requesting a password if one is not entered
How do i make it so that a customer can choose to enter a password (and if they do an account is created) or continue with checkout without entering a password?
Note I am using the following suggested code to make usernames be equal to the email entered:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/automatically-generate-an-account-username-changed-to-name/
and the billing email field is required on checkout page too.
Thanks in advance
