Support » Plugin: Mail Bank - #1 Mail SMTP Plugin for WordPress » Password is Hidden even in View Source πŸ‘

  • I found “the plugin” good as it encrypts the password before storing it in the database.

In many other SMTP plugins, even if the password shows as hidden (*****) within the plugin settings section, you can still see it using view-source.

Whereas in “the plugin”, it shows the password as ***** even when you view the page source.

So, “the plugin” is definitely better. πŸ‘

Hi @vinayy when you include the link to the plugin By Name, Three Times, with target=_blank it sets off my spam alarm. I’ve corrected your review. πŸ˜‰

Cool. Where in the code does it do that?

    Hi @jdembowski

Oops! I had copied the text, which I had posted elsewhere to mention about Mail Bank (with link) and posted it here as well. πŸ™‚ I too was wondering if 3 links are allowed. I’ll try and keep this in mind in future.

BTW, I didn’t get your question. Where in the code does it do what?

I guess this is what you wanted to know:

“the plugin” stores the SMTP email password in the WP database after encrypting it, unlike some other similar plugins, which store the password in plain text.
