# Password & Email fail

 * I have a client who’s password is suddenly failing. It doesn’t appear that the
   website has been hacked.
 * When I’ve tried to reset the password, WP isn’t accepting her email address…nor
   any of the other possibilities.
 * Is there another way I can get in to correct this? The website host informs me
   that it must be done through WP however I thought there was a way to do this 
   through the cpanel?

 * Thanks…I’ve managed to change the password but it’s not up and working yet…I’m
   now locked out for 30 mins…
 * However, what does the MD5 do? The password seems to revert to the original when
   I select this?

 * MD5 shouldn’t revert back to the original it is an encryption option that wordpress
   uses for passwords.
    When you select this and save changes your password should
   be a long series of numbers and letters.
