# Password e-mail

 * Hi, i’m new to wordpress and i’ve installed 2.7 (worked great, easy installation,
   flawless) but when i activate that users can register and i try to register as
   a new user and it says an e-mail has been sent with the password, but no e-mail
   is beeing sent. How can i fix it so users can register to the blog?

 * It is probably with your server configuration. PHP processes probably run under
   nobody user and your host disables mail sending out as nobody.
 * You would switch WordPress to use SMTP instead. Try this plugin [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/)
