# Passing values through url

 * Hi,
 * My site url is like
    [http://localhost/sitename/machines-detail/?class_id=406&cat_id=461](http://localhost/sitename/machines-detail/?class_id=406&cat_id=461)
   and i get the class and cat id using get function.
 * Is there any way that I can make the url
    [http://localhost/sitename/machines-detail/406/461](http://localhost/sitename/machines-detail/406/461)
 * and get the first value as class_id and second as cat_id
 * Please Help!

 * Yes I am using permalink,but i need to pass these two values through url.
    iam
   storing products in a table outside wp db. I am using using these values in the
   url to fetch data from this table

 * Sorry but I have not yet come across any alternative for the thing you are trying
   to achieve. However, suggestion: try to use session!! for the two veriable class_id&
   cat_id , may be put an onclick event that you update the value…
