Passing database variables into default values

    Is there any way to pass certain values into form elements, perhaps by GET or POST? POST would be ideal to hide the values from the user.

    Scenario is I am having users log in to an LDAP directory prior to reaching the form. From the LDAP directory I can pull certain values and pre-populate fields so that information is exactly correct per the directory.
