# Pass parameters with permalinks

 * How can I pass a parameter via the URL when I’m using permalinks?
 * For instance:
 * [http://www.mydomain.tld/page?parameter=value](http://www.mydomain.tld/page?parameter=value)
 * With permalinks set like this:
 * [http://www.mydomain.tld/%postname%](http://www.mydomain.tld/%postname%)
 * [http://www.mydomain.tld/page?parameter=value](http://www.mydomain.tld/page?parameter=value)
 * becomes
 * [http://www.mydomain.tld/page](http://www.mydomain.tld/page)
 * and WordPress loses track of parameter.
 * How can I make WP retain parameter and it’s value?

 * Try adding a slash to the end of your permalink if it does not already have one.
