• I am new to WordPress and using 3.2.1

The site I am building will be in Spanish. I have installed several ‘translation ready’ themes and there are always a few words or phrases that stay in English.

I used to have a Joomla site and it was possible to go to specific files and modify whatever needed to be modify.
Is there something similar with WordPress? A way of going to certain files and just translate the few words or phrases that I want to put in Spanish?

    Thank you.

  • Sure, you can go to any file and translate it… but the problem is anything you change this way will be lost during a theme, or a wordpress update.

WordPress has an editor (admin panel -> appearance -> editor) where you can edit your themes files. Be careful using this editor, as any mistakes will throw an error, and you’ll have to use FTP to get back into your site.

    But… it’s certainly possible 🙂
