    Hello All:

My customer wants me to be able to allow their Blog Posts to not only post to their social media accounts, which it already does, but to also “Tag” their customer FB Business Pages.

    Example Post:

The world is ending so make sure that you stock your shelves today before they empty out.
Make sure to get over to our premier resellers

Ideas? No matter what I look at there doesn’t seem to be anything out there to execute this functionality.

The current solution is to execute the blog post and then go into their Facebook and Twitter pages then “edit the post” in those social media pages by then adding the tags after the face.

    ANY help would be appreciated.

  • When I post on Twitter and send the post to Facebook via IFTTT, if my tweet has a hashtag then the FB post also has that hashtag (clickable). I haven’t tested it with @ but I would guess at the very least you’d have to know the account name you were @ing and many times it’s not going to be the same on FB and Twitter, that might make it difficult to do the @ and have it be correct on both platforms. As far as directly from WP to FB/Twitter, I’m not certain if/how that would work differently. So you know, lots of help here 😉

Sorry for the late reply…..I never got an alert that you responded to it. I don’t use IFTTT because we need to use a plugin so that it posts to 3 different Facebook Biz Pages…long story.

I just cannot believe that someone hasn’t developed a plugin to handle the @ing. Yes, I completely understand the possibility of the names being different between FB and Twitter…in our case, the names are the same between the social platforms.

    Extremely frustrating.
