# Parse/Fatal errors when first installing

 * I’m trying to install WordPress for the first time. I changed all my info in 
   the wp-config.php and I opened up the install.php file ina browser, but I got
   some errors:
    Parse error: parse error in /home/tcorg/public_html/wp-config.php
   on line 7 Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/tcorg/
   public_html/wp-admin/install.php on line 47 Anyone know what’s wrong? I haven’t
   changed anything else. Please help!

 * That means you have an error in your `wp-config.php` file. I would compare that
   file to the `wp-config-sample.php` file and make sure you don’t have any unclosed
   quotes or extra lines.

 * I am a new user and had the same problem.
    Fatal error: Call to a member function
   on a non-object in /home/ritesh/public_html/blog/wp-admin/install.php on line
   47 “That means you have an error in your wp-config.php file. I would compare 
   that file to the wp-config-sample.php file and make sure you don’t have any unclosed
   quotes or extra lines.” I checked up on what is said above and everything I have
   done is acc to the instructions, but while doing something, i once got the error
   saying “COuldnt write, you might have to change permissions, or You manually 
   configured wp-config.php” Someone please help!

 * Hello, me again!
    WHen i go to /wp-admin/install.php, i get the following error
   now You don’t have permission to access /blog/wp-admin/install.php on this server
   Can somone advise what persmissions should i set for the Blog folder? Thank You!
