 * I tried to login to my wordpress site [http://www.ijustgottahavethat.com](http://www.ijustgottahavethat.com)
and got the following error message
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”http:/’ (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE) in/
   home/marketee/public_html/www.ijustgottahavethat.com/wp-includes/functions.php
   on line 4635
 * I have accessed this file in cpanel but the lines are not numbered so I cannot
   identify line 4635
 * At the suggestion of my web host I tried re-uploading the functions.php but this
   has not worked.
 * I originally uploaded this site using Softaculous about 1 year ago and have had
   no previous problems.
 * I had thought about using a backup to reinstall but unfortunately when I try
to access the backup I get the same error message.
 * Any suggestions would be appreciated. There is a lot of content on this site
which I would hate to lose.

   same error message
 * could you tell me please if I reinstall this site completely will I delete my

 * if you don’t back everything up then yes a fresh install will cause you to lose
a bunch of stuff. you might not lose the database where all the post content,
text, links and settings are stored but you’ll definitely lose all your uploads,
   music, files, photos etc.
 * back everything up: database and home directory of the site that way you have
a copy that you can just re-upload if things go pear shaped.

 * I used the BackUpWordpress plugin to automatically create backups with the file
url emailed to me, unfortunately when I try to access this backup file I get
the same error message that I referred to in my first post.
 * I have checked my cpanel for an alternative backup to use. I have several Add
On Domains listed with this host (ijustgottahavethat.com is an add-on domain)
and as far as I can see I cannot simply back up just one domain, I have to backup
them all. I will check with my host to see if there is a way round this because
I am reluctant to reinstall all domains just in case something does go wrong.
 * If I could ask you 1 further question what permissions should I set when I upload
a fresh copy of wp-includes/functions.php. The settings I used were 0644, is
   this correct?

 * I am also having the same problem as I changed nothing and suddenly the site
goes down. Any idea how to make site online as it was before?

 * Hi ozzesh
 * I still have not resolved this problem. I did try uploading a fresh copy of wp-
includes/functions.php but this did not make any difference.
 * I have also asked my Host about this but the only advice they could offer was
to upload a new version of the functions.php
 * I am now lost for what to do next, anybody got any suggestions?
 * Ozzesh can I ask you one questions. In the week prior to the fault appearing
did you install any new software? If you did could you tell me the name of the
software. It might just help me with my investigations.
