Parse error: syntax error, unexpected

    I’m currently using the Avada theme and when I try to activate the WP-GOTOWebinar plugni i receive this fatal error: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/contlog/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-gotowebinar/inc/visual-composer.php on line 13”.

    Any help you can provide would be great.

    Hi MERUser,

    Thanks for bringing the issue to my attention 🙂 I believe the issue is occurring because you are using an older version of PHP, version 5.3. However I just released an update to the plugin just then, version 5.9 which should address this specific issue you are running into. So please update the plugin and give it another shot!

    I would definitely recommend though looking at upgrading your PHP version to 5.4 or to the latest version 7.0.10 as this may prevent you running into similar issues in the future with other plugins.
