“Parse error: syntax error” message instead of website content

    My problem:
    I am getting this notification: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/08/8565008/html/cbtimemachine/wp-content/plugins/category-posts/cat-posts.php on line 13”

    The website is completely inaccessible. Anyone visiting the website gets that message. And if i try to access the admin panel, this message comes up instead.

    This happened immediately after updating WordPress. Earlier, I updated some plug-ins (do not know which ones). Things are fine after updating the plug-ins.
