Hello, I have downloaded a plug-in and after activating it got the following error. My site is now down showing this error

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/bizkids/public_html/wp-content/plugins/post-levels.php on line 2

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/bizkids/public_html/wp-content/plugins/post-levels.php on line 2

Pls help how I can correct the error

Looks like you have got a PHP-Syntax-Error in your file.

What do you suggest to correct this? is it in the plug-in php file?

    Yep

You can post the first lines in pastebin (http://wordpress.pastebin.ca/) and I will have a look.

I do not see any invalid code.

Did you ever open the file in an advanced editor (like word) and saved it afterwards?

Did you take this file of your server?

I pasted the code in wordpad, saved it and upload. I got the download here:

Try right-click on the link and save as... without using an editor.

It worked. Thanks. Well it seems the error is in the pasting to Wordpad.

Thanks for being generous with your time in helping me out on this error.
