[resolved] Parse Error on misc.php file (2 posts)

Today my friends WordPress site (version 3.1.1) stopped working - she received a parse error referencing one of the plugin files (1 click retweet share). Since she was unable to login to the admin console to deactivate the plugin, she renamed the plugin folder, deactivating all of the plugins.

Now when she tries to load her website or access the console she gets the following error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/30/d301023186/htdocs/wp-content/themes/nestlette/functions/misc.php on line 99

If she renames misc.php she can access the website and admin console with several warnings referencing the missing misc.php file. She replaced the misc.php file from a backup and there was no change.

Any suggestions on how to resolve the issue?

That's probably because misc.php is being called from functions.php
