  • Installation goes fine, but when I try to login I get this…
    Parse error: parse error, expecting ','' or ‘;” in /home/virtual/site117/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php on line 1045
    Here is what is on line 1045
    echo “<form action=”%22.get_settings(“siteurl’).”/wp-admin/post.php’ method=’get’>\n”;

  • delete the %22.
    or delete and reupload that file – that may work too.

    That didn’t seem to work. Any other ideas?

    Which didn’t work ?
    echo “<form action=”%22.get_settings
    echo “<form action=”get_settings
    That’s the edit that needs to be made.

    i changed it to this…
    echo “<form action=”get_settings(“siteurl’).”/wp-admin/post.php’ method=’get’>\n”;
    and I still get this when I try to login…
    Parse error: parse error, expecting ','' or ‘;” in /home/virtual/site117/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php on line 1045

    echo “<form action='”.get_settings(‘siteurl’).”/wp-admin/post.php’ method=’get’>\n”;

    Ok now I get this…
    Parse error: parse error in /home/virtual/site117/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php on line 1245
    Here is what is on line 1245
    echo “<form action=%5c%22%22. get_settings(‘siteurl’) .”/wp-admin/edit.php?p=$p&c=1#comments\” method=\”get\”>\n”;

    What are you using to upload the file ?
    It may be useful to delete the file on the server just before you upload the new one too. Overwriting sometimes doesn’t work.

    The files are bing uploaded via Adobe GoLive CS…
    Should I be using WS_FTP Pro instead?

    Never used adobe … I’d use WS, yes.

    Ok I deleted everything and reinstalled from scratch. I only used GoLive CS to update the wp-config.php I used WS to upload everything.
    Now when I go to login I get this…
    Parse error: parse error, expecting ','' or ‘;” in /home/virtual/site117/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php on line 523
    This is what is on line 523
    break;
    Any ideas???

    This is not going well… I would delete just that file from the server, then reupload.
    If you get more errors, download and unzip a new copy of wp to try, something could have corrupted somewhere.

    Ok i deleted everything downloaded a new copy and reinstalled… IT WORKED! Thanks
