# pArse error occured while setting up

 * So, I was trying to build my site using wordpress as recommended tome. I am not
   a programmer, and this is my first attempt at setting up a site myself.
    I got
   this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/02/8715602/
   html/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 593
 * And have no idea what that means, or how to fix it. Any one have a solution for
   a n00b? My site is dead before it even lived…

 * it’s related to your themes. try changing back to the default theme.. Do you 
   have a twentyten theme?

 * twentyeleven. I am not sure how I would change anything, since when I attempt
   to log in, it gives me the parse error, and I can’t even see the dashboard.

 * Rename your current themes folder using FTP. This will force WordPress to use
   the default theme and then you should be able to log into your dashboard. I hope
   this helps!

 * 1. Login to your hosting account using FTP, like FileZilla
    2. Go to wp-content
   > themes > 3. Find your current themes folder 4. Rename the folder. (this will
   automatically force WordPress to use the default) 5. Log into WordPress dashboard
