# Parse Error

    I have been building this site for my village hall. Today I updated my plugins
   and now I can’t get into the site via WordPress or even directly to view it I
   just get the following message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /
   home/vickythi/_sites/wortwellcore.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/themeisle-companion/
   obfx_modules/image-cdn/init.php on line 44

 * Your `themeisle-companion` plugin seems to be the error.
 * Access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting
   provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/
   and delete `themeisle-companion` plugin

 * Please do not jump into other topics. If the troubleshooting already posted made
   no difference for you, then, as per the [Forum Welcome](https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/forum-welcome/),
   please [post your own topic](http://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform).
   A lot more people will see your post, and that way you stand a good chance of
   getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue
   is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical
   servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem,
   on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application
   as a whole.
