  • The best, and easiest, thing to do is find an un-modiied copy of the functions.php file form the theme and upload that to over-write the current one on your server. That will get ti back to the default standard and let it work again.

Thank You so very much catacaustic, I’m not sure how to do that, but Ive got a copy of the code from a new theme. Just need to learn how to firstly, find the code through my cpanel, and then replace it. Thanks again catacaustic, Legend.

    There’s two options.

First is FTP. You can use FTP to connect to your hosting server and upload the file there.

Second is thorugh the cPanel file manager. You can edit the files of the site in there and save them. I’d suggest not over-using this though… as you’ve seen, broken files are not fun to deal with.

Never Again. Thanks Heaps catacaustic, Above and beyond. Yes, I think FTP might do the trick for me. Thank You, Thank You.

If I name the complete copied file functions.php and just copy and paste it into the files and check replace existing. Would that work? Through FTF??

    Yes, that’s correct. 🙂
