# Parse Error

 * Hey,
 * This morning I updated the maxbuttons plugin and since have been unable to access
   the site I work on or its admin panel. the exact error is “Parse error: syntax
   error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM, expecting T_VARIABLE”
 * I have looked around and realize that FTP would be a way to fix this, but unfortunately
   the owner of the site never set up his site for FTP or myPHPadmin.
 * Is there any way I can deactivate the maxbuttons plugin? Thank you for your time.

 * Yes, but you will need to use FTP or Cpanel to access the site files on the server.

 * Ok, so is FTP out of the picture due to the website never being set up for it?

 * You’ll have to ask HostGator how to get access via FTP or Cpanel. There is no
   other way to fix this kind of issue.
 * Can you ask the owner of the site to that?
