 * I am trying get wordpress up and running through a Site5 MsSQL database. I’ve
   got to the point where I run the install script, but when I do I get this error:

   Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/brookeke/public_html/
   WordPress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1
 * I’ve contacted Site5 and they say it’s a wp coding issue.
    Any ideas on what
   the specific problem is and how I might fix it? Below is what is on line 1 of
   the wp-includes/functions.php file : <?php

 * That is odd, we have no problems with WordPress, what is your ticket ID with
   our support?
 * My email is [bwb@site5.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/parse-error-30/bwb@site5.com?output_format=md),

   thanks, Ben
