 * i am in the process of downloading wp. i started the process configuring the 
   file and when i went to install it gave me a weird error code
 * ‘Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-config.
   php on line 5′
 * i have no idea what that means or what to do. please help.

 * it likely means you have an extra`'` or a space. Compare it with the wp-config-
   sample.php.

 * can someone please help me? I cant finish downloading wordpress because of this
   error.

 * I am having the exact same problem. I have compared with the sample.php the only
   difference is that it has my DB and SQL info in it.

 * Apparently the file doesn’t like being changed in notepad. I used an HTML editor
   and now it worked fine, except now it won’t connect to the DB.
