If you have FTP access (or can use File Manager through your cPanel), take a look at your wp-config.php file and find out what’s on line 28.

Hello, Andrew, thank you so much for your help! Yesterday I got endless problems with wordpress/nextgen gallery. I have now solved it. It all started with downloading Nextgen gallery as for some reason I can’t get it to work properly. When I go into the Gallery option to upload pictures, the page was blank, so I downloaded extensions. That is when it all wrong.
With your suggestion I have reloaded my wp-config.php afterwhich I tried to log into my wordpress site and came up with another error connected with Nextgen. from there I went back to my ftp, deleted nextgen gallery from my directory and it worked! Phew! Now I am in the process of trying to find a good picture gallery plugin (that works) to upload. If you have any suggestions it will be mostly appreciated.
I am a beginner at this so thank you very much for your help.
You’re quite welcome. I’m glad I could be of assistance.
I’ve never used NextGen personally, so I can’t offer much advice there– but I’m sure the plugin author has a support forum, if you’d like to pursue the issue.
As far as alternatives go, there are a lot of choices. You might read through their feature sets, test drive one or two, etc.
