• How might one implement some kind of parental control in WP?

Say an under 18 can be allowed to access the (or a version of the) dashboard to change colour schemes, layouts, widgets etc. and they can create or change a post or page content and preview it but when they hit the publish/update button the item has to be approved by a higher level (parent) user? (rather like an admin can approve comments).

    Cheers,

    K.

  • I do not think you can implement age-based access control in the back end of WP. Your best option would to give this person the role of Contributor so that s/he cannot publish posts. However, this means that they will also not be able to access widgets, themes etc.
