Parent ID’s from Drop-Down are changing to first Name Only

    Hi!
    Whenever I select an ID with multiple words from the mum and dad drop-down list, such as “Spike Johnson”, and save the page, it only saves the first word as the mum or dad ID.

    For example, I select “Spike Johnson” as the dad using the drop-down list. I update/save the page – then the ID for dad just shows “Spike”. Since his ID is “Spike Johnson”, this causes him to not show up in the pedigree tree at all.

    How can I fix this to make it work with names longer than 1 word?

    You can’t use spaces in the ID. It works if you use the ID “SpikeJohnson” The ID is used in the back end and your website viewers can’t see the contraction.

    @alborten11, while what @elanp say is true, you can’t expect final users to know/respect that, nor is a warning about that. So this is a bug.
    I’ll try to reproduce it and fix it. Thank you for the heads up.

    Thanks burria! Names with spaces work fine if entered by text. It’s only if you use the drop-down selection and save it – then it saves with as the first word only.

    The problem is fixed with the new update , so I’ll change this issue to resolved.

    And thank you again @alborten11, although I try to test everything there are issues that escape from my view.
