Hi, thank you for this useful plugin!

I noticed that when noticing a general text block, that the paragraphs are stripped, i.e. it shows up as one text block, without whitelines.
The headers do work (display properly) when inserted as “general”.

When I switch to text mode, and add the < p > tags myself, it still does not work when added as “general”, but it does work when added as HTML.

So it is not a serious bug, but is a bit annoying, especially as WP strips out all the <p > tags when switching to TinyMCE visual view and back again to txt view.

    Thanks in advance for checking,
    With best regards,
    Bike

The plugin uses the standard WP editor so this is a ‘feature’ of WP, not the plugin. The plugin originally only had the text option but the editor was added by popular demand, unfortunately this is one of the limitations.

Thanks for the clarification, that’s a silly WP feature.

Maybe it would be a good idea to disable the visual editor when HTML (or PHP etc) is chosen? Then you will not lose the edits when reopening the block in visual mode.

    Cheers

    I’ve had the same problem.
I found out that you can enable the auto paragraphs in the gcb.class.php.
If you search the class on ‘wpautop’ you’ll find that this is set to ‘true’. If you change this to ‘false’ the <p> tags will be automaticly inserted in a contentblock with type ‘general’ while editing in visual mode.
Keep in mind that this will also happen if you use other types like HTML or PHP. So use txt view for these types
