Paragraph tags stripped

We have created a custom content type “persons” in which we use a DIVI Person module. This content type is to be used in blog posts.

Using this short code in a DIVI code box works nicely: [content id=”some content ID”]. However <p> tags in the description text are stripped away.

I tried using [raw] but this does not seem to make a difference. [raw][content id=”some content ID”][/raw]

Is there any way to prevent <p> tags from being stripped? I am assuming other html tags will be stripped also but I haven’t tested that yet.
