Paragraph tags disappearing

  • Many of many blog posts are syndicated using the Feedwordpress plugin, which is rather good, and contain a single line/paragraph as the post content. Despite that text being wrapped in paragraph tags, when you enter the HTML view for the post, the paragraph tags are never rendered on the live post page, which means my p style is unused.

Any ideas please on what’s going on, how it might be fixed?

  • Fun stuff. I just ran into this exact same issue. In the post editor, all looks great.

But when the syndicated post is published, all the line breaks and paragraph tags are stripped.

    Maddening.

Ah… ok, Feedwordpress stops the normal WP formatting on syndicated posts. Which can get awkward if you tweak syndicated posts a bit before releasing from Draft.

So, for those instance, definitely want to stay out of the wysiwyg editor and use the classic editor to ensure all the <p> and <br /> tags are there.
