• I spent all day customizing the parabola theme, importing pictures for the slides, changing fonts, figuring out how to do stuff, and I saved an export.
When I restored the backup, it was only half saved and looks like a dogs dinner now.
Surely that is the crucial part of any theme….being able to save a stable backup ??
Not impressed. All promise and no substance so far.

actually it was my fault i think.
Whilst trying to install a phpbb, I was informed that I needed to install autoMOD too, as part of a bridging app that would incorporate the phpbb into my site, but when I installed the autoMOD, it gave me an error message ( even though i followed the instructions to the letter ), and then my wordpress wouldn’t show, so I deleted the entire phpbb folder via FTP, thinking that only the phpbb installation would be affected, but it was looking for some file called common.php or something, and wouldnt dispaly the site cos it couldnt be found.
At this point I thought ” ahh, i’ll import that export I made” but the page was then missing images, half the menu, the font was back to default, so I uninstalled wordpress and started from scratch…….again.

First time making a website. Steep learning curve for a beginner =P
My apologies, as it seems it was my own fault =)
