• I’m making a sports club website (with paid membership). Participants Database seem absolutely perfect (import/export, display of member list), except… Is there any way to add a means for new members to make a payment (through Paypal, for example)?
    Thanks,
    Jim

  • good day dear jgj252,

thanks for stepping up the plate with this idea.

In this forums – there are several threads that take up this idea …

    Participants database with WooCommerce

Use Participants DB with WooCommerce discount
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/use-participants-db-with-woocommerce-discount/

Integrate PD with WooCommerce to add paid listing functionality: any experience?
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/integrate-pd-with-woocommerce-to-add-paid-listing-functionality-any-experience/

in this last thread Roland replied ….:

“I would suggest that the best way to do this is to use a membership plugin to manage your users. Those plugins typically allow you to define different types of member, so some would be paid and others not. Once they have an account, you can use Participants Database to manage the listings. Each type of member would be able to post a different type of listing, and you can set that up by using a template that shows the user a form based on what kind of user they are. There are some ideas here on how to use PDB with WordPress users:”

….i currently do some investigations with Ultimate Member see: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-member/

what is very very interesting is the following: – see the signup-process:

see some ideas regarding the signup-process

to sume up: well i think that many users of participant database like this idea of combining this with a paid membership.

If by any chance your payments add-on needs a, or another, beta-tester, I’d be glad to help. 🙂 My site is still in development, so might be good for testing.

Yes, this plugin is very close to release, I have some more testing to do, but I’m planning to get it out before the end of the month.

I can’t wait to move payments to pdb only! This is going to be very useful.

    Thank you!

    Hi Roland,

    Any update on this?

    Thanks!

hello dear Roland, dear muchemik and jgj252,

I also can’t wait to see the payments pdb addon! This is going to be very useful.

btw: i also look forward to the allready discussed alerts plugin:

A feature that has the user experience in mind. Alert-Features – Allow users to create alerts based on their search-interest

    see here this thread https://wordpress.org/support/topic/alert-features-allow-users-to-create-alerts-based-on-their-search-interest-3/

What do i mean with an alert-plugin: Several features and options can be reached : among them are the following:

    – Alert users to db entries they are interested in via email
    – Allow users to create alerts based on their search
    – Alerts triggered daily, weekly, or fortnightly

The idea of sending an e-mail to an user is very fascinating. I guess that many many users love to have these features: An alert function that provides new shortcode to add pages which gives logged in users an alerts management page to add, preview, enable, disable, edit and delete email alerts. Alerts can be configured based on keywords and data entry-types of the participant database. An idea would be: it creates email alerts based on searches using the participants-database filters to search for entries of the participants-database.

The major goal is to enhance the user-experience and support the different way of use the plugin. I guess that many many users of the participation-database would like to see such a addon.

    thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/alert-features-allow-users-to-create-alerts-based-on-their-search-interest-3/

above all: the participants-database is a very versatile and powerful plugin – it has fans all over the globe. And with its features and addons are allready amazing.

keep up the superb work – it rocks!!!
