• am using News theme by Studiopress. Till now the pagination was fine on my homepage where am showing recent posts, but now when I press Next Page or Page 2 then it takes me to way older posts then what it should be displaying. Example: i have 10 posts of 27 february 2012 showing on homepage, but when I hit Page 2 or Next Page, then it takes me to posts of 18 February 2012. This is wrong as I post 5-10 posts daily.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    @esmi, i have done all this, cleared cache from browser and PC. Asked HostGator on Live Chat, but it says that the mistake is in the seting of permalink or slug. But the thing is, it was working fine till now.

    Yes, i have faced this issue in past as well, but it gets settled automatically, but this time it just stuck 🙁

    the problem is not on all client machines, its working fine on some. Means on clicking to page 2 or Next Page, it redirecting them to the posts of 26th February.

    But on some, its redirecting them to 16th feb 2012 posts.

    I have tested it on 10 computers, its giving this issue in 7 of them.

    I have cleared cache and temp files of all. 🙁

    just a question? is this theme provide setting post per page.

    if this theme have setting match the number with wp-admin/options-reading.php “Blog pages show at most” and update if problem is solved.

    might be a problem with the ‘w3tc’ plugin or settings:

    I see the posts from 18th feb on ‘page2’;
    this is what I get at the bottom of the ‘page2’ link:
    <!-- Served from: www.udaipurtimes.com @ 2012-02-19 23:06:07 by W3 Total Cache -->

    @ pankaj – I will try your approach. Thanks.

    @ alchymyth – Sir, I believe this could be the case, as I have not used w3tc from a very long time. But have installed it. Do I have to use it time to time, to remove cached files ?
