Pagination sorted by publication time instead of calendar date

I noticed WordPress pagination for my events was out of sequence and on examination, found All-in-One Event Calendar’s pagination is sorted by publication time — not by calendar date.

Since we fill in our calendar as events arrive, this requires altering publication time and date to make sure the publication dates fall into sequence with calendar dates.

Is there any way All-in-One can force events to paginate by date, and not by publication time?
