    has anyone experienced issues with missing pagination in custom category templates? I’ve upgraded a friends wp site from 2.3x to 2.7.1 and though I added the most recent .navigation (next/prev) element to the template AND made sure that it was in the style.css sheet, the element isn’t showing up, even though I temporarily set the number of posts displayed to 3 and there are definitely MORE posts that that.

    I’m using:

    <div class="navigation">
    <div class="alignleft"><?php next_posts_link('&laquo; Previous Entries') ?></div>
    <div class="alignright"><?php previous_posts_link('Next Entries &raquo;') ?></div>

    navigation {
    	display: block;
    	text-align: center;
    	margin-top: 10px;
    	margin-bottom: 60px;

    As far as I can tell, there is no reason (CSS, for example) for this not to display. I can’t say whether it will work or not because I cannot even SEE it.

    I guess my questions are:

    1) is this a custom category template issue?
    2) should I look at installed plugins?
    3) is there an existing issue/bug?

    Guidance appreciated. It may help me save bloodying my head as I bang it against the computer screen!

  • On looking back at my custom category template… there IS NO custom query, so eliminate that in my list. I’m looking at the plugins now…

    OK. I was using Adhesive (plugin) by Owen Winkler. Once I deactivated that, prev/next started working again.

    Now I need to go see what I was using it for (sticky posts, I think) and see how broken that is and try to fix it.

    thanks anyway!
