# PageSpeed: Eliminate render-blocking

 * I am working on my WordPress web [http://www.educationhelp.cz](http://www.educationhelp.cz)
   and have some problems with it.
 * When I test the page via the [https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/](https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/)
   
   it gives me bad score. In mobile part it is 49 / 100 in desktop it is 56/100.
 * The main problem is:
    **Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-
   the-fold content Your page has 61 blocking script resources and 29 blocking CSS
   resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
 * I found many topics about the problem but nothing works for me.
 * Please, let me know if anyone know how to deal with it.

 * What have you tried so far that has not worked for you?
 * For my company website, I use the [W3 Total Cache](http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-install-and-setup-w3-total-cache-for-beginners/)
   plugin. It provides lots of features that can help speed up your website. The“
   Minify” feature could help you with combining all of your javascript and CSS 
   files and decreasing file sizes.
 * W3 Total Cache is a pretty big plugin, and there are lots of other options out
   there too.. Just try searching “wordpress minify” if W3 doesn’t work out for 
   you.

 * I have tried W3 Total Cache many times and I have set up everything except Page
   cache part. If I Enable Page cache in W3 Total Cache plugin my web is not working
   properly.
 * I am using Minify option to combine all my java and css but it does not work.
   I have added all files one by one in Minify section and nothing happened.
 * It is first time I have such a problem.
 * Maybe you can suggest me any other option how to deal with Page cache without
   damaging the page?

 * Hmm, when you say your web doesn’t work properly, what do you mean? Like what
   happens?? Are there any error messages?
 * Maybe it’s possible that there is a file permission issue on your server? I think
   most chache/minify plugins work in a similar way. If they can’t create files 
   on the server, then other ones probably won’t work either.
