# Pagespeed API discontinued?

 * I see that people are still saying this plugin works, but I’m reading that the
   pagespeed service was discontinued. I can’t for the life of me find the API key
   for the pagespeed service. I just have a generic API and that didn’t work :\

 * The Pagespeed Insights API was not discontinued, I think you are confusing it
   with the PageSpeed Service, which was a proxy solution to try to speed up your
   website, and has been discontinued.

 * wow incredible support, thank you Matt. You’re right google constantly changes
   where things are and their interfaces can be pretty unintuitive.
