Support » Fixing WordPress » Pages not showing up in Navigation

  • I searched and searched and still came up short. Here is my issue:

I’m trying to figure out why new pages are not showing up in my navigation menu. I’m using the Twenty Ten theme on version 3.0.3. I’ve deleted all unused plugins and I’ve tried deactivating plugins one by one to no avail. Here’s a link to our site:

Most of our pages are showing up in the “Departments” navigation tab. Now it appears that any new page I create will not show up in the navigation menu, regardless of how I set the parent relation. The “Bus Service” page below is published and is visible to the public, but it doesn’t show up in the navigation. I currently have it set as a child of “Public Works” and I’ve tried to set it to no parent as well. Neither option makes the item appear in the nav menu.

Any hints or suggestions on where to begin looking? Many thanks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?
