pages, not posts, with MarsEdit

    I’m trying to use MarsEdit and a mmd plugin, in particular markdown on save improved. But. I’m not editing posts, but rather pages. All is fine on the WP end, in that I can speak directly to WP in mmd, but any sync that I do with MarsEdit causes the mmd to be converted to HTML. This goes both ways. If I use mmd in ME and then send that to WP, it’s fine, but it again overwrites back to HTML in ME.

    I’ve been talking to the ME support people and they’ve looked at logs in a carefully controlled set of tests both directions and say it’s clear that ” looking at the network logs it definitely appears the HTML conversion is happening on your blog for some reason, so I suspect the plugin you are using.”

    Should markdown on save improved work on Pages in addition to posts?

    Pages should now be working properly with any remote client as of v2.3. I’ve tested specifically with Mars Edit and WP iOS.
