http://www.deskillscenter.org/programs/cna/ appears differently on IE then it does on chrome . The way it appears on chrome is how I want it to display. The major difference I notice is where the <hr> tag displays the line underneath the picture in chrome but not in IE. If anyone has a solution or knows whats causing this please let me know I will be most appreciative!!!!

Have you tried deactivating plugins to explore whether any could be responsible?

The issue may be that your theme was never developed to be compatible with the version of Internet Explorer you are using.

The only plugin that I could imagine is effecting that page is the slideshow one. But I’d love to keep this slide show. Also I was thinking maybe have a special css set so if viewing the page on IE the css will change to make it look the same as on chrome but I couldn’t get that to work. I realize the theme i’m using sucks but I feel as though the task of switching to a new theme would be to monumental at this point.

Which version(s) of IE are you developing for?

I’d like my site to look good from at least IE 10 – 8

And which versions have the issue?

I know for sure IE 10 is having the issue but bet are that older versions have the same issue.

First you should resolve your validation errors (for the page you linked in your first post). Each page you want browser’-compatible will need to be validated.

It looks like only a few errors will be causing Internet Explorer to have a hissy-fit. Look for errors that affect the structural layout of your page, for example, “end tag for element “P” which is not open” and, “document type does not allow element “OL” here”.

This should help explain the errors given by the validator: http://validator.w3.org/docs/errors.html

    Not that I can see.

I have rid of the error for the P tag but I do not understand the problem with the ol tag. Also another difference I notice is the bullets where it says the program will consist of are different. Maybe that is the culprit?
