Support » Plugin: Breadcrumb NavXT Multidimension Extensions » Pages listed in the last position together with CPT

  • Thanks for a great plugin, however I am having two issues. First, the separator is not entering the markup no matter what I do.

More importantly, I have a custom post type and custom taxonomy for it. This CPT is of ‘page’ type and its taxonomy is hierarchical. I get all regular pages from the site show up on the mouse-over in the same position with this CPT. I was expecting complete separation by post type.

I hope my explanation is clear enough, else I’ll send pictures. 🙂

The HTML markup for the Multidimension Extensions breadcrumb trail does not contain a separator since it is based on a nested list. This is akin to the bcn_display_list() function that does not use the separator. It is up to the user to provide CSS to style the breadcrumb trail and insert separators as they see fit. See for an example of styling the output of Multidimension Extensions.

As for the second issue, are you using bcn_display_list_multidim() or bcn_display_list_multidim_children()?

Breadcrumb NavXT uses separator and I see no reason why Multidimension Extensions should not or could not use it too. When you are not mousing over the breadcrumbs and they display as a chain, the links of that chain sure could use a separator. It’s just a usability thing.

I am not using it anymore. I appreciate you trying to help, but it’s moot since I dumped it.
