"Pages" links won't show ON "Pages" pages. (7 posts)

Whew, sorry if that was hard to follow. I just upgraded WP from 1.2.2 to 1.5 using a Kubrick based template, Pink Lilies (edited for my site). I added the page links code, just as simple as it can be. The pages show up fine, they show up in hierarchy. But when I click on one of the pages, and I'm on that webpage, there is a header "Pages" over there with the links area, but no links under it. I don't have a separate page template, because of the style to theme upgrade.

    My url is http://kissmestace.com

    Thanks!

It looks like the Page(s) aren't calling up your sidebar. You said you don't have a page.php, but do you have a single.php? Therein might be your issue.

Single? No, like I said, it's an upgrade from a "style." How do I make a "single.php" What is that page? I was going to separate the pages out once I got a fix.

I am not 100% sure, but this post might help... fro displaying the list.

    As for the other question:
    - you can make a single.php by saving your index.php as single.php and then editing it to have the template tags and layout you wish (or not)

There are also a lot of good articles in the Codex about Templates and Template Hierarchy (= the order in which different templates are called by WP). For newbies at WP 1.5 I can also recommand my own visual anatomy of a theme.

I have the same problem (when on a "Page" the "Pages" link area isn't populated), but only if I use a virtual permalink structure. If I switch back to the default PHP query way, it shows up just fine.

My site is here and the "Pages" are under "Staff Pages":

    Thanks for any help.
