Pages converted to posts

    I’ve changed some pages to posts from editing the database entries in the wp_posts table. I also changed the links from page_id to p.

    They look fine to people visiting the site, but the editor still treats them as pages, not posts. I can’t give them categories or tags.

    What else do I need to do?

    Suggest that you undo or restore to the original database and then using the conventional WordPress admin tools, copy and paste the content from your old pages to new posts. Playing fast and loose with database entries is OK just so long as it works, but in this case it is not working well enough.

    That makes sense. Is there any reason not to can cut and paste the content from the way the posts are now, then delete them?

    Yes you can delete the redundant pages, just be sure that your new post is complete in all details first.
