 * Hi,
    using the shortcode [events_calendar long_events=1 full=1 location=”72″],
   I have a lot of pages automatically generated (literally thousands) of the past
   years, for example: [https://www.mysite.it/example/?full=1&long_events=1&location_id=5&ajaxCalendar=1&mo=1&yr=1962](https://www.mysite.it/example/?full=1&long_events=1&location_id=5&ajaxCalendar=1&mo=1&yr=1962)
 * It is possible to avoid them to be generated?
 * Thanks

 * You need to add the scope.
    scope=”future”.
 * That will prevent past events form being taken into the shortcode output.

 * Patrick,
 * We have a similar need to display locations for future events only.
 * Adding scope-“future” to the location shortcode should do it, correct?

 * Yes, Jing, that _is_ what “scope” means.

 * Hi Patrick,
    I inserted the “scope”, but it don’t seems to work with the [events_calendar]
   shortcode (see the note at the bottom of the page: [https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/shortcodes/](https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/shortcodes/)).
 * Also tried the “year”, but it don’t work too; pages of the past years are generated
   anyway.
