    Hello.

I used the multisite language switcher plugin last year for this website http://www.serene-yachting.com/ and it worked fine. Currently I am revamping another website (http://69.195.124.113/~villaghi/) using the same network structure, same theme and of course the multisite language switcher plugin. The only thing I have changed is the hosting provider, meaning that the first website is hosted by dreamhost and the one I am revamping now is hosted by bluehost.

I have set the network right, but when I am trying to link the pages, it is not working. It works only for home page. When I am in a page’s editor and selecting its linking page at the drop down menu of the plugin and hit ‘update’ it doesn’t save the selection.

I had the Yoast SEO plugin deactivated and tried again but nothing changed.

    What is wrong?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

it’s difficult to say what’s going wrong in this case but let’s try it.

Are there any other plugins activated? Do you have a logfile?

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

    Hi Dennis.

Apart from the multisite language switcher, I have activated the “Theme Authenticity Checker (TAC)” and the “The Events Calendar” plugins.

Which logfile would you like. I looked for my php error logs and I got this message: “No php error_log files found.”

    Thank you!

OK, I had a look at the “The Events Calendar” plugin. I bet that the switcher works when this plugin isn’t active, right? Please check this, may be I have to contact the developers of the plugin.

I deactivated both plugins but nothing changed.

OK, thanks. So you could just try to change the theme for a moment. Maybe there is something in there which disturbs the save_posts hook.

I tried twenty eleven but nothing changed. Just to mention that for both sites I am using pages, not posts.

There is no problem to use pages. Maybe I should see that by myself to check what the problem is. If you want can send me an email to re@lloc.de

We have the same problem with WP 3.6 and TwentyThirteen Theme. Did anyone find a solution? This thread says ‘resolved’, but I don’t see the final solution.

Some of the language-files were missing. After the installation and the configuration everything worked fine.

Please open a new thread and describe your installation a little bit. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

Ah, may be I have to install those languages files (mo files)?

I did a very ‘default’ install.
First installed WP 3.6, than installed multisite, created new sites and finally downloaded and activated the plugin.

Ok, it is resolved for me now. I forgot to install the necessary language files.
