Pages Are Not Caching

    Greetings –

    We have an image in the slider that does not fully load as fast as we want. When the site is first displayed, there is a white “gap” as the image loads. We optimized the image significantly already. By the time the other 2 images load, everything is ok.

    I thought caching would help. However, all pages tested show URL not cached so something else must be going on.

    What can I check for to help correct this issue?

    You have a plugin or the theme opening a new php session each time your site is loaded which disables our caching. Please, check it with your site dev. The site shouldn’t open a new session on each visit but only when the user makes an action that requies cache invalidation and a session…
