Pages and Categories permalinks

  • Hi folks,

I have followed the instructions on the “Using Permalinks” article and added the two cgi.* directives in my php.ini on my IIS server.

This worked just fine for the postings but did not work on my Pages and Categories. I have a single page at the moment, and the Permalink was rendered as “http://danywu.serveblog.net/index.php/about/”

The Archives links were rendered as “http://danywu.serveblog.net/index.php/archives/date/2006/04/”

The Categories links were rendered as “http://danywu.serveblog.net/index.php/archives/category/bernese-mountain-dog/”

These links did not work having only modified my php.ini file. Is there anything else that should be done to make it work? At the moment I have reverted back to default URL with the query strings to make it all work.

Any help/suggestion would be immensely appreciated. I have trawled the Web looking for detailed instructions but none of them seemed to work for me.

    Many thanks,

  • what version are u using ? i still remmber i had same issue related to the 1.5 version when we had to delete the .htaccess and past the code again for it to work after each new page …

but i dont think it’s the same in 2.0

I’m using the latest version – 2.0.2 – running on IIS so I’m not using .htaccess.

As I mentioned it worked great for the posts but not the Pages, Categories or Archive 🙁
