However, when staff updates/edits pages there is lag time where they are not sure if anything is happening or being updated, then of course the multiple mouse clicks again and then additional hang time. * Is there a plugin or way to show a nice popup or something similar that indicates the page is being updated and then gives a confirmation that the page has updated? * Thanks! Something might be interfering or causing a process to hang. * Try deactivating all plugins. If I ran a clean install of WordPress and a standard theme, then the updating would be faster. But, how many folks are running that scenario with WordPress? Ever hosted with Hostgator? * Yes, I have worked on a number of sites at Hostgator and other brands under their hosting parent company, Endurance International Group. * The post/page update times never exceeded 2 seconds.
